My affinity for childcare originated from my unique position as a late-in-life child with siblings who were adults so I grew up caring for my 13 nieces and nephews from an early age. My experience subsequently extended to the supervision of numerous other children through various babysitting roles. During my high school years in Spooner High, I dedicated my time to volunteer work at Lakeland Family Resource Center, Spooner and Menomonie's Public Libraries, Spooner Elementary School, and Spooner's Assisted Living center. Additionally, I served as a teacher's assistant to middle school and high school teachers, helping teachers adapt to the technology of the time as well as helping students with homework.
After graduation, I attended WITC-Rice Lake for information technology - computer technical support. While in college, I started my career in retail and discovered my calling in business management. Ever since, I have been in business and operations management roles, from retail to manufacturing. However, I have always had a passion for helping children which led me to this position while I was searching for affordable childcare and academic help for my own children.
Having personally navigated academic challenges, I am deeply committed to supporting children in overcoming obstacles and unlocking their full potential. My goal is to get to know each student and family in after school and make sure they get the help they deserve to achieve whatever goals they aspire to!
