This year's theme for character development is "Lifelong Leaders." The idea behind this theme is to give our students an understanding of what it takes to step up and be a leader for those around you. So everyone can be the best they can be for the good of society as a whole.
Our snack times are served family style, students sit with each of their leaders and discuss a question of the day by grade levels. Every day the question is based around our month's theme posed to engage the students in thought-provoking conversation among their classmates. Some current examples of this include: "How can you respect your classmates?" "How have you shown compassion to someone?" "What does it mean to feel appreciated?" "How does it make you feel when you give someone a present?"
